College Board digital SAT
Edunest prepares students in Qatar for the digital SAT, the College Board admission test of Reading and Writing and Math. Your child works alone with the tutor in live online lessons. The tutor begins with an official Bluebook practice test, reads where the points went, and builds each week around the question types that cost your child most.
The test runs 2 hours and 14 minutes on a laptop or tablet at a test centre. Sittings fall on Saturdays, inside the Qatari weekend, so a plan can count back from the date your child picks.
What we cover
The digital SAT tests eight content domains, four per section. The names below are College Board's own, so lessons match the official practice material.
Percentages are College Board's approximate shares of Reading and Writing questions; Math counts are for the whole section across both modules.
Finding the central idea of a short text, choosing the quotation or data point that supports a claim, and drawing sound inferences. Learners lose points on answers that sound true yet go beyond the text.
Working out a word's meaning from context, the purpose of a sentence within a passage, and how two short texts on one topic relate. Precise academic vocabulary decides many of these questions.
Revising writing to meet a stated goal: choosing the transition that fits the logic, or turning a student's notes into one sentence for a named purpose. The goal written in the question decides the answer.
Editing for sentence boundaries, punctuation, verb forms, agreement and modifiers. These questions reward rules, and learners who choose by ear often fall for a comma splice or a misplaced semicolon.
Linear equations and functions in one or two variables, systems of two linear equations, and linear inequalities. Points slip away when a word problem is turned into the wrong equation.
Equivalent expressions, quadratic, exponential, polynomial, rational and radical equations, and nonlinear functions. Many learners know the methods and slow down when asked for the form of an expression that shows a feature.
Ratios, rates, units and percentages, data distributions, scatterplots, probability, margin of error, and what observational studies and experiments can show. Percentage change and unit slips cost more marks here than hard mathematics.
Area and volume, lines, angles and triangles, right-triangle trigonometry and circles. Bluebook shows a reference sheet of common formulas, so the skill lies in choosing the right formula and applying it cleanly.
How lessons run
SAT lessons run over live video on Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, in Qatar time (UTC+3), and can sit after school from Sunday to Thursday or on a Friday or Saturday.
Step 1
Your child sits a full-length practice test in College Board's Bluebook app under real timing. The tutor reads the result by domain and by question type, and notes where the clock ran out.
Step 2
The tutor agrees a target sitting with your family, then sets out which domains come first, when full practice tests fall, and how the weeks before the registration deadline are used.
Step 3
Each lesson takes one question type, such as transitions or systems of equations, teaches the method, and practises it on College Board questions before mixing it with earlier work.
Step 4
Your child works 32-minute Reading and Writing modules and 35-minute Math modules against the clock. Every wrong answer goes into a log with its cause: knowledge, misreading or time.
Step 5
In the final weeks the tutor checks the device, the Bluebook exam setup that produces the admission ticket, the Desmos calculator, and a pacing plan for both sections.
Parents are welcome to observe, and brief notes on each stage of the plan go to the family.
The exam
College Board delivers the SAT in its Bluebook app. Each section has two modules, and the second is harder or easier depending on how the first went. A 10-minute break separates the sections.

College Board's international calendar lists these weekend sittings from October 2026. Deadlines close at 11:59 p.m. US Eastern Time, early the next morning in Qatar, and a late fee applies after the first deadline.
Each section is scored from 200 to 800, for a total of 400 to 1600. Scoring accounts for which questions were answered correctly and how difficult they were, and a wrong answer carries no deduction.

The section asks 54 questions in 64 minutes, and one slow passage takes time from the next few.
